Re:Workshops

Waste prevention is about reusing what we already have rather than buying something new.

Of course, possessions do wear out or break - clothes, household objects, gardening tools etc. The Re:Workshops are your chance to get stuck in and learn how to repair, repurpose and upcycle. Prevent waste by reusing what we already have, rather than buying something new.

The Great Waste is offering a whole variety of workshops over the 2015-2016, for instance

  • Jewellery: Make something new or fix common jewellery breaks

  • Clothes: Create a new exciting garment from an old one, learn how to repair common problems, learning to love your sewing machine

  • Garden: fixing tools, making a wormery, creating a bench from a pallet

  • Bike: learn basic bike maintenance and how to fix common problems

  • Talk about a waste: discuss and learn about what can be done while doing something creative

How can you be part of a workshop?

You join one that is already running or get your group together to have your own workshop.
